30MILES FILM is an
independent film and theater production and distribution company, founded in
2008 by Stefano Veneruso (director, screenwriter and producer) due to his
passion for cinema and from the solid previous experience in the film industry
acquired between 1990 and 2010, initially with the family company Esterno
Mediterraneo Film, Massimo Troisi's film production company, Oscar winner for The Postman – Il Postino (1996), and
then with MK Film where Veneruso produced and directed the film All the Invisible Children also
co-directed by Ridley Scott, Spike Lee, Emir Kusturica and John Woo. The film opened the Venice Film Festival, was
distributed in over 120 countries, and is considered among the ten most
important anthology films in international cinema.
30MILES FILM has also produced
several music videos for artists such as Tina Turner for the song Teach me again, directed by Stefano
Veneruso, Dop Vittorio Storaro (3 times Oscar winner).
In 2010, he staged the theatrical performance Caravaggio, the Exile of a Man in Search of God, directed by Stefano Veneruso,
debuting in the courtyard of the Capitoline Museums in Rome.
In 2011, 30MILES produced the docufilm Noi di Settembre (We, people of September), starring Franco
Califano, one of the greatest Italian singers and songwriter of all time,
selected at the Rome Film Festival, directed by Stefano Veneruso. In 2014
produced the play What do I think of
Switzerland? starring Giancarlo Giannini, directed by Stefano Veneruso. In 2018
produced the show Annunciazione,
Annunciazione (piazza del Plebiscito, Naples), directed by Stefano
Veneruso,
starring greatest artists of the Italian show business.
In 2019 produced along with Istituto Luce - Cinecittà
the multimedia exhibition and the homonymous play entitled Troisi Poeta Massimo debuted at the Teatro dei Dioscuri al
Quirinale in Rome, and later at Cinema Anteo (Milan), both exhibition and play
have been repited at the Maschio Angioino and Castel dell’Ovo (Naples),
achieving a huge success. The Troisi
Poeta Massimo play made its debut in streaming from the Premio Massimo Troisi, recording a
sold-out crowd.
In 2022 produced, in collaboration with Rai Cinema, the
film inspired by the life of Massimo Troisi, one of the best italian actor and
director of all time, entitled Starting
tomorrow I’ll get up late starring John Lynch and Gabriella Pession, the
premiere was held at MANN (Naples National
Archaeological Museum), it has been screened at the Italian Parliament, and at
the Italian Senate, in the presence of the highest institutional authorities, and selected for the Belgrade
Italo-Serbian International Film Festival.

D'Avalos, as part of the program Procida Italian Capital of Culture 2022, and
then at the MANN Museo Archeologico Nazionale di

Stefano Veneruso, achieving a huge success. Also produced the docufilm Speciale Il Postino - A look inside (1994-2026).
In 2025 produced the film The years of the father inspired by a
true story that narrates a very tense father and son relationship starring
Massimo Bonetti e Daniel Bondì.

Stefano Veneruso is an Italian director, screenwriter, and producer
working across cinema, theater, and multimedia, with an international career
closely tied to preserving and promoting the artistic legacy of Massimo Troisi,
his uncle (his mother’s brother), one of the greatest Italian actors and
directors of all time. His family has been involved in filmmaking for over 40
years, achieving worldwide recognition, receiving five Academy Award
nominations and winning both an Oscar and a BAFTA.
Stefano Veneruso is best known for directing and producing All the Invisible Children, a collective film created alongside directors such as Ridley Scott,
Spike Lee, Emir Kusturica, and John Woo. The film opened the Venice Film
Festival, was distributed in over 120 countries, and is considered among the
ten most important anthology films in international cinema.
Over the years, he has combined filmmaking with documentaries and
cultural projects. His recent works include the film The Years of the Father,
starring Massimo Bonetti, and Starting Tomorrow I’ll Get Up Late,
featuring John Lynch and Gabriella Pession, inspired by the life of Massimo
Troisi and was presented at major institutional venues, as well as awarded at
the Giffoni Film Festival. He also directed the docufilm Il Postino – A
Look Inside, dedicated to the iconic film Il Postino.
In 2023, he published the book Massimo
Troisi – Il mio verbo preferito è evitare, published by Rizzoli,
which was awarded with the Charlot Award as Book of the Year. In parallel, Veneruso created the multimedia exhibition I volti di Massimo Troisi as part of Procida Italian Capital of Culture 2022 and brought to
the stage theatrical works such as Troisi Poeta Massimo and Annunciazione Annunciazione!.
In the documentary field, he directed works such as Noi di Settembre, dedicated to Franco Califano one of the
greatest Italian singer and song writer of all time, selected at the Rome
Film Festival, and What Do I Think of Switzerland,
starring Giancarlo Giannini. He has also directed music videos for
internationally renowned artists including Tina Turner and Elisa, collaborating
with three-time Academy Award-winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro.
Stefano Veneruso began his career in cinema as an assistant director
on Il Postino, for which he also directed an award-winning behind-the-scenes
documentary. After moving to Los Angeles at the age of twenty, he studied
filmmaking at UCLA and the AFI, where he directed his first short film, I’m Sophie and You?, which received several awards. He later worked as assistant director
with Martin Scorsese on Gangs of New York and with Mel Gibson
on The Passion of the
Christ.
Alongside his artistic work, Veneruso is also involved
in social and cultural engagement initiatives: he has served as President of
the Jury of the Massimo Troisi Award, is Honorary President of the short film
festival Corto ma non troppo! dedicated to filmmakers with mental
illness, and since 2009 has been a member of the charity team ItalianAttori, a
charity soccer team made up of actors and directors, promoting solidarity and
social inclusion through sport.
Barbara Di Mattia is
an Italian-American producer, actress, and screenwriter. She is the producer
and screenwriter of the film The
Years of the Father (2025),
with Massimo Bonetti. She produced in collaboration with Rai Cinema the film Starting
Tomorrow I’ll Get Up Late, inspired by the life of Massimo
Troisi and starring John Lynch, the film features an original, previously
unreleased song by Pino Daniele. Its worldwide premiere took place at the
prestigious MANN (Naples National Archaeological Museum), and it was also
screened at the Italian Parliament and Senate in the presence of the highest
institutional authorities. The film was selected for the Giffoni Film Festival
– Special Events and received the Premio Charlot – Speciale Cinema 2023.

Barbara began her career as an
actress and print model, appearing in TV movies, shows, plays, films, and
numerous commercials for international brands such as Nutella, Barilla, Mulino
Bianco, Bialetti, and Johnson.
Raffaele Veneruso, line producer and producer, worked on over 120 films, both for television and cinema, including the entire filmography of Massimo Troisi.
Anna Pavignano, screenwriter, made her debut with Massimo Troisi, one of the best Italian actors and director of all times, with whom she wrote the screenplay Ricomincio da Tre, followed by Scusate il ritardo, Le vie del signore sono finite, I thought it was love instead it was a gig and The Postman (Il Postino), which granted her an Oscar and a BAFTA nomination for Best Screenplay and many acknowledgments.
She directed and wrote the script for Il caso Moro. Her filmography includes: Ma non per sempre directed by Marzio Casa and Corpi speciali by Luciano Odorisio. Then she wrote Malefemmine (2000) directed by Fabio Conversi, Amore con S maiuscola (2001) by Paolo Costella, Casomai (2001), a film by Alessandro D’alatri and Se devo essere sincera (2004) by Davide Ferrario. She also wrote novels and published a children story, Il Prode Matteo. For Edizioni e/o she published Starting tomorrow I’ll get up late a film directed by Stefano Veneruso (2020), dedicated to the memory of Massimo Troisi, In bilico sul mare, and Venice, a dream. Currently, she continues to write for films and television. She is also an author of children books and teaches writing and screenwriting. The First Daughter is her fourth novel for e/o.
Aldo Boccolari, a video graphic designer, editor, and photographer, has over 30 years of experience in the audiovisualand visual communications industries.For over twenty years, he has been one of the main editors and artistic-technical consultants at 30Miles Film,contributing to the production of feature films, documentaries, corporate commercials, and high-profile television content.Over the course of his career, he has edited and creatively supervised numerous films and documentaries,collaborating on projects for the cinema and television industry.At the same time, he has developed a recognized practice as a graphic designer, creating memorable postersfor theater performances, cultural events, and audiovisual productions, distinguishing himself with a strong,elegant, and immediately recognizable visual style.His experience combines advanced technical skills, narrative sensibility, and aesthetic research, making him a leading figurein video post-production and visual communication.
Fabio Gentiluomo, social media manager, graduated in 2009 from the Academy of Theatrical Arts at Teatro Totò in Naples. For over ten years, he has managed the communication and content of the official Massimo Troisi social media pages (Facebook and Instagram). Since 2019, he has been assistant director of the theatrical production Troisi Poeta Massimo, directed by Stefano Veneruso.
